Altarpiece of the Virgin of Sorrows and the Reclining Christ
Beautiful neoclassical altarpiece of the s. XVII with fluted columns, split pediment and very few adornments, the niche in a semicircular arch shelters the image of our Lady, very devout, sorrowful and very slender. It is a life-size figure (of bone or spindle calls) with only the face and hands.
In the lower part of this altarpiece there are two landscape paintings (tables) with the scenes of the Annunciation and Christmas, well made and of good color, although a little dark the backgrounds. The understood ones place the paintings chronologically before the altarpiece (maybe from the 15th century). Under this altar is the modern carving of Jesus lying well sculpted, pious, of detailed anatomical study. These two images come in procession on Good Friday.
The beautiful Chapel of the Virgen de los Dolores will possibly be the most visited of the Parish
